Lucie Isle is an award winning writer of comedy for audio, stage and screen
“It’s not every day you discover writing talent like Lucie’s. A rising star of UK comedy”
- James Matthewson, BBC Journalist
Lucie is a writer and comedian hailing from Norwich, UK. You may also know her as the DIY funeral queen, Pearl Laceneck.
An incurable show-off, her Peep Show style self-produced comedy shorts did the rounds on social media for their irreverent, self deprecating takes on the queer experience.
Five of Lucie’s comedy shorts were selected for the BFI webfilm archive: a national archive capturing the breadth of online British moving picture since the 90s.
Producer of sell-out queer & alt comedy night Degenerates, creator of award winning crowdfunded audio comedy Football Crumpets, episode contributor to the APA award winning QueerAF & Trans+ History Week podcast, and presenter of her own five star rated confessional podcast, Lucie’s unique comic voice is unmissable.
