Forgive Me Lucie: The confessional Podcast

Enter the confession box every month in Forgive Me Lucie, the podcast that reveals the absolute best, and very worst sides of my guests.

In April’s heavenly instalment, you’ll meet the devious Freddie Main, the mastermind behind satirical drag creation and political supervillain Babs Romance MP.

Freddie Main: genius creator of satirical ‘Preservative Party MP’ Babs Romance.

What’s coming up?

In the hilarious second instalment of Forgive Me Lucie, Freddie reveals:

  • Why the cops showed up at his house unannounced

  • That hell is stacked with heaps and heaps of organised fun

  • Some hog roasts are worth making lifelong enemies for

But if you can’t wait until release day to feast your ears on Freddie’s big whoppers, catch up on Episode 1 with the devilish drag diva Zoe Promiscuous.

Amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices

Forgive Me Lucie isn’t just about juicy secrets and gagworthy gossip. It’s a chance for my guests to let me know what’s truly important to them, and for you to hear their stories first hand.

Take Zane Brightwell- we chat heart to heart about their fulfilling, but sometimes risky sex work. Zane takes us back to their childhood, which literally gave them their first stage (a clapped out sofa in the street) to perform from.

And we feel the raw passion and drive that propels them from strength to strength in their Drag career.

Why are Facialteam sponsoring Forgive Me Lucie?

I had a frank chat with Lilia at Facialteam about why they’re sponsoring my podcast.

Initially the pod was destined to be a whacky gameshow based on my Degenerates comedy night (the working title was The Degeneration Game).

But after a while that idea fizzled out because it lacked authenticity and substance, and I was struggling to come up with games that allowed me to get to know my guest better, not just catch them out with challenges.

What evolved was Forgive Me Lucie, a confessional format podcast where I dress up as a sexy nun and give my guests a tongue-in-cheek grilling.

Unexpectedly it’s become a podcast with emotional depth and heartwarming stories. We also leave no subject off-limits and tackle NSFW subjects, such as sex work and drug use. We also swear quite a bit. Naughty!

“We could easily sponsor someone with millions of followers who’s just a pretty face, but that’s not who we are, that’s not what we’re about.

After some of the subjects that came up in the first podcast, I was worried that Facialteam might not approve.

They’re a professional clinic of highly skilled surgeons, with a fantastic international reputation. Why would they want to sponsor me when I’m laughing with my guest about how many people they slept with in one night?

But they told me something amazing.

Facialteam’s unlikely roots

Lilia told me that almost all of Facialteam’s early patients were sex workers.

They were people who found a home in the sex industry, and had the means and desire to have Facial Feminization Surgery. Sex workers are at the core of Facialteam’s history, and my trans community.

They said ‘we could easily sponsor someone with millions of followers who’s just a pretty face, but that’s not who we are, that’s not what we’re about. We’re here to support you and the trans community’

So I feel incredibly lucky that Facialteam are sponsoring an entire 12 episodes of Forgive Me Lucie. And I can’t wait to share some spectacular moments with you and my upcoming guests.
